My hair has grown so much in the last few months! Since the beginning of quarantine, I was styling my hair less, using the right tools when I did, giving myself treatments at home and really taking care of my hair. Then all of a sudden —POST BABY HORMONES all kicked in, and I really noticed a substantial amount of hair loss starting to happen. I naturally have long thick hair if I maintain it correctly, so after baby, I was feeling super discouraged and started testing out what worked, and didn't. I was on a mission to restore the health of my hair. Theres a lot of great supplements you can take post-baby as well, to support hair loss, and I absolutely believe a lot of hair care starts from within, and has a lot to do with diet. You can read about my smoothie for hair loss here.

I’ve gotten it trimmed a few times, and I've really been honing in on all my favorite hair care products, and supplements. I wanted to break down all the products and steps I use. And, I truly believe using a combination of them all is what has helped my hair.

SHOWER

It all starts in the shower for my hair routine, using quality shampoo, conditioner and treatment is the base for a good hair routine. I use Ouai’s Detox Shampoo once a week to remove any buildup in my hair. For daily washes I LOoooVE Kerastase Shampoo, all of their products are so amazing, and I reccomend finding the one that suits your hair. This shampoo in particular is great for damaged hair, or for anyone trying to grow out their hair, and protect your length. I use their Kérastase Conditioner as well, this has been a game changer for regrowing my hair, and the over-all health. I CANNOT recommend this product enough. Once a week I will do a hair mask, and their Kerastase Hair mask is the best I've found for repair. Its not super heavy feeling, and it makes your hair feel so healthy. I also will switch it up when I'm in need of a salon deep deep treat, or right after I color my hair, I will use the entire Olaplex line And, Olaplex 0. I really believe if you had to do one thing for your hair to get it back to its health this is it!! I use the NO 6 Olaplex bond smoother at night right after I get out of the shower, I put it throughout my hair, braid it, and then sleep with it until morning. Your hair will have a smooth beachy air dried wave.

My hair stylist gives me a lot of really great tips for keeping my blonde hair from. getting. brassy. Besides a great water filter. Something I recommend everyone get. She suggest staying away from heavy oils and purple shampoos. (oils. can make you look. brassier, and purples can pull a ton of gray tones.) But when I am in need for a purple shampoo product I use Moroccanoil or Unite’s Blonde shampoo these are super light on the purple, and give the look I need to extend my blonde color without adding a lot of grays. Oribe Gold Lust is lightweight and I love the smell of it.

If I am styling my hair, or prepping for a photo shoot I will usually swap out my beloved kerastase and use Oribe Gold Lust shampoo and conditioner. Its super light weight and really amazing for styling, and holding volume for those long days. And its my ultimate favorite scented product.

DAMP HAIR

Next I will apply a leave in conditioner, I have been using Kerastase Resistance serum, for years and a new favorite is from Moroccanoil, it smells so good. Then I always use a wet brush to minimize damage, and breakage. This one is pricey but totally worth it.

If I am planning on blow drying my hair, I will spray a volumizing spray to my roots. This helps my hair from looking flat and also if I spritz some through the ends. Then I will put a tiny bit of hair oil on the ends of my hair before drying. I have a few favorite oils including Oribe, Gisou, Davines oil, and Olaplex.

For air dried hair, I am still experimenting with various products that work for me. My current favorite combination is to apply Olaplex No. 6 and then a little bit of Olaplex Hair Oil through the mid to ends of my hair then scrunch and let dry.

STYLING TOOLS

It comes as no surprise that I am highly recommending my Dyson products. I have a Dyson product it feels like in every room in my house. If its not for cleaning, or air filters, or fans, its my beloved blow dryer, and hair products. They are investment tools, but because of their heat protection technology — it really does protect my hair even when I am styling it. I use their blowdryer to dry my hair or the diffuser attachment to speed up my air drying when I wear my hair wavy.

My all time favorite that I just started using, and instantly became obsessed with is the Dyson Airwrap — It is sold out at the moment, but I highly recommend getting on the waitlist if you can. It takes a little bit to learn how to use it, but once you get the hang of it it is a GAME CHANGER! I dry and style my hair with the attachments and I love mine so much.

DRY STYLING

After I have dried my hair, it looks really smooth and pretty but I like it to look more textured and full — so I apply various products based on the look I am going for. My all time favorite styling product is, Oribe Dry texture spray, it gives my hair volume, texture and smells incredible.

TREATMENTS AND SUPPLEMENTS

Using a combination of all of these have really made my hair grow over the last few months, I’m not sure which of them has helped the most since I have used them all with each other.

At night when I am watching tv I use the Hair Max LED light and brush my hair, this is a laser treatment for your hair follicles to reverse the thinning process and regrow your hair. On their site it says it helps with new hair growth, increased density and healthier, fuller hair.

I also apply a few spritz of Caviar Anti-aging Scalp treatment on my part and in the front sections of my hair. The treatment is meant to thicken and boost thinning hair.

For supplements, there are so many to take. You can try Dr. Axe Collagen, I take mine in powder form EVERYDAY and add it to my night cap smoothie. I trust Dr. Axe, in a market that is flooded with collagen supplements, it can get very confusing. I believe in all of his supplements, and powders. They are all sustainably sourced, eco-friendly, and I also think he has the best tasting collagen out there. I switch between Dr. Axe Collagen in chocolate, and Dr. Axe collagen in vanilla. Theres also Nutrafol Women’s Balance and Moon Juice SuperHair.

Combs, Brushes, Accessories

Using wet brush helps my hair so much when it is wet and for getting tangles out without the damage. I also always brush my hair before I put it into a braid and go to bed

For styling brushes I use the Ibiza Brush and a boar bristle brush. Its also essential to have an amazing round brush if you aren't using the Dyson styling brushes. I used this one before I got my Dyson, and its really AMAZING!

Daily, I use the Slip silk skinny hair ties because I can put my hair back without leaving a crease in my hair. I also always sleep on my Colorado Home Co. silk pillowcase for extra hair care protection.

I think that is just about everything I use! If I missed something, comment on my instagram and let me know any other requests you have!
