About Tegan
I moved to sunny Los Angeles in 2012 to chase a childhood dream.
In the midst of rediscovering my passions and re-defining my dreams and goals, I met my husband-- at a gym of all places. A seemingly unromantic setting led to my happily-ever-after. Together we have embraced this journey; we closed our eyes, and took an incredible leap into the unknown.

Five incredible, life transforming years later we have three kids
Yes, I said THREE beautiful kids, ages 3 and under, and we are living our best life to say the least.
Living in Los Angeles, one of our favorite things to do is get up on a Sunday morning, pack up our stroller with the girls' scooters, beach toys, snacks, water, and the dog (it can take over an hour to get out of the house sometimes) and head out on our Sunday beach stroll.
We love our Sundays
We live right on the water so walking trails and bike paths are easy accessible. Our walks usually start by walking to get coffee, then a run on the beach with the kids or a stroll around Venice or out towards Santa Monica, then out on the pier to watch the surfers. We then usually end up at our favorite brunch spot in the Marina.
This is followed by nap times, an afternoon lounging at our pool with the kids, and a sunset beach walk. It's so therapeutic to have a day with family to reconnect, rest, and be close to the sun and sand. It's truly my favorite day of the week.

Why Sunday Cocomo?
When my second daughter was born, it was clear that she was my mini-me. She looked so much like me that my mom felt like she was being transported back into time to when I was a baby.
My mom gave her the nickname "Cocomo" from the Beach Boys song, a song I used to love as a little girl. I would dance around the living room with my cheerleading pom-poms and sing this song. The lyrics describe two lovers taking a trip to a relaxing Caribbean island called Kokomo, which is said to only be seen by those of pure heart.
"Sunday Cocomo" signifies two equally happy times in my life: ones that evoke joy, love, and bliss.
And here I am sharing it with you, as I navigate motherhood, sleepless nights, constant uphill battles of tiny colds, deciphering if preschool is the right decision, mom guilt, teething tips, nap-friendly work-outs, my journey with PPD, quick NOURISHING meals that kids love, staying inspired as a mother, staying in love, balancing work-life vs. mom-life, and staying somewhat calm.

Because let's face it, we moms have the hardest job on the planet.
I'm not a pro, I'm just a human that found a really good thing in motherhood, and I happen to have some great tricks and a lot of experiences to share. I hope you find comfort here, some inspiration, and a lot of love. From one mom to another just know you've got this.
So make yourself a cup of tea or pour yourself a glass of wine and stay awhile.
